Ball on The Square 2019

Published

“It’s something about this event that keeps me coming back. To remain so consistent as a brand feels good. This year, attending was extra special. Armed with my camera, we headed into Ball on the Square 2019.”

Heading down to Rittenhouse Square I thought to myself “who am I going to see this evening? Familiar faces? Definitely new faces, probably folks I’m familiar with. Maybe.” I caught eyes looking both at me and past me. The excitement about this event was in my stride, in my walk. I looked forward to being there, delivering my perspective of this evenings experience.

As I approached the opening to the event I was greeted by Sophia, Cashman’s point of contact for the event. We exchanged greetings, then  I headed into the front entrance I grabbed a glass of red wine. A perfect way to start off the the night.

I had the chance to check out the suishi and other dishes present at the event. Saying that I favor suishi does not serve this sentence justice. Whoever thought of seafood for the event gets my kudos.

“We live around the area and this is our 9th time attending. The thing that keeps me coming back is a woman who worked the event helped me w/ a personal project. Since then, I told myself to keep up the support.” – Sandy and Steve

To top off the night, and get attendees going, Summer on the Square was the drink special of choice. I had two and enjoyed every bit of it. Served with sprite, herbs and a hit of alcohol, it was refreshing, yet strong. A nice way to mellow into an evening of dancing.

One of the things I always value are the thoughts of attendees. See what they had to say about their time out at Ball on the Square:

This is our first time coming. It’s beautiful and stunning. It’s great and we’re having a blast. We love it.” – Kristen VanLeer, Katie Wenger, and Katie Rudnik

“(Evan) I’ve been attending for the last 10 years. (Tiffani) I was here 10 yrs ago. It’s a fun party. That’s what it really is. I enjoy myself.”
Evan & Tiffani Solomon

Ball on the Square is Rittenhouse Square largest annual event. Industry leaders, philanthropists, business executives, politicians, and long-time residents of the Square, enjoy a night of celebration, fun and networking while raising proceeds to maintain Rittenhouse square. The Friends of Rittenhouse Square is a non-profit organization that funds and manages a majority of the programs needed to sustain this amazing landmark.
